For over 25 years the American Skin Food Group has produced high quality pork skin products for our customers all around the world. Our first class, USDA inspected facility is located in the scenic city of Burgaw, North Carolina.
American Skin was birthed out of a meat packing company started by Wesley Blake Sr. and Anthony Blake in the 1930’s called Wanet’s Sausage. In 1981, through the vision of Neil Blake, pork rinds became the focus of American Skin. In 1998, Wes Blake III and Les Edwards purchased American Skin and Grandad’s Real Bacon Rinds out of Atlanta, Georgia, relocating both businesses to beautiful Burgaw, North Carolina. Our heritage of quality products and southern service has made the American Skin Food Group a leading manufacturer and supplier of pork skin products.
